Guidelines for Building Construction, Third Edition
Building a quality building depends on good design, construction, management and supervision, and technology and construction procedures are undoubtedly very important aspects of the construction industry. This book summarizes 30 major construction techniques, together with relevant standard construction rules, preparation and precautions, which can be used as a reference for students and practitioners of related disciplines, such as site managers, works supervisors, site foremen and engineering technicians. Seven new construction techniques have been added to the third edition, which are of great reference value. Among them, "Building MiC" is a new construction technology and construction method adopted by the construction industry in Hong Kong in recent years, which not only saves working time and reduces labour, but also enhances environmental efficiency and safety performance. The author hopes that these new technologies and construction methods will inspire readers.
