Reading Movies & Movies. Reading 2 continues the style and arrangement of its predecessor "Exploration of Images and Words", and is also divided into two parts in terms of structure.
Part 1: Discussion of Images: Divided into three units: "Film Deconstruction", "Image Criticism", and "Beyond Film", more than 100 Chinese and foreign films released in Hong Kong in the past two years are used to express profound truths in plain words, starting with the discussion of images, deconstructing the connotation of films, commenting on the content and aesthetic quality of films, and then thinking about and analyzing films and other related aspects, including: real life, characteristics of the times, and family and society. Let readers have a deeper understanding of the connotation of the film text and its inextricable relationship with themselves.
Part 2: Images and Texts – A selection of more than 10 representative films illustrates the relationship between images and texts in the films, in order to encourage readers to watch more movies and read more books, and to think about the significance of the interaction between the two art forms.
