City of Scripts—— The Craftmanship of Vernacular Lettering in Hong Kong

This book is not a reference book on font structure, nor is it intended to teach people how to design Chinese fonts; it starts from humanistic solicitude and thinks as a local to understand the relationship between the local craftmanship of vernacular lettering and social transformation. We hope to understand and record the city and local aesthetics we live in from multiple angles. By visiting and listening to the growth background of each craftsman, we can bring out the relationship between their craftsmanship and our daily life. It is hoped that everyone can re-observe our city and appreciate the aesthetics and functions of our city's fonts after reading this book.
