With more than 20 years of SEN teaching and training experience
Nine common learning difficulties and needs
A large number of common cases in families and classrooms
Practical methods to assist each type of SEN
This book introduces nine common categories of special educational needs (SEN). By collecting a large amount of local and foreign information, and combining with her SEN teaching and training experience of more than 20 years, the author introduces the causes, symptoms, difficulties and assistance methods of each category in simple and easy-to-understand terms, and answers to various common questions about SEN. The book also introduces the similarities and differences in SEN policies in cross-strait four regions, and integrates a list of related support services in Hong Kong and Macau.
The many cases in the book are commonly seen in various families and classrooms, showing specifically how to help children with SEN in different situations. Through this comprehensive introductory guide to SEN, parents, teachers, social workers, etc. can better understand the daily performance of various types of children, figure out the way to get along with and teach them, and realise the belief that "every child can be taught".
