Political Institutions in Imperial China: Regimes, Culture, and Technicalities
What is the connection between the northern peoples and the evolution of centralised power in the past dynasties? This book is a new work by historian Yan Buke, which focuses on his personal style of emphasising theoretical speculation. The book includes reflections related to the teaching of traditional bureaucracy, provides relevant information on autocracy, the theory of the unity of the family and the state, foreign political power, and "joint sitting", sorts out the relationship between them, explores different perspectives, and explores the uniqueness of the institutional culture of imperial China through cross-cultural comparison. At the same time, it combines social science methods with historical studies, and devotes itself to the analysis and construction of "technical principles" in order to deepen the study of the traditional bureaucracy, especially its hierarchical system.
