

Reconstructing Tradition: A Documentary Study of Jingming Ritual
This book makes use of the internal and external documents of the Daozang, especially the inscriptions, archives, newspapers and periodicals, local chronicles, Taoist manuscripts, rare books in the museum's collection, field observations and other materials that have not been paid much attention in the past, to introduce the historical process of the Jingming Dao over the past thousand years and the current recovery status, and also discuss the following important issues, including: the relationship between the Southern Song Dynasty Jingming Law and the Lingbao Law, the secret knowledge of the Yuan Dynasty Jingming Zhongxiao Law and its relationship with the Lei Law, the inheritance and integration of the Ming Dynasty Qingwei Law and the Jingming Zhongxiao Law, and the ritual tradition of the Chaoxian Shenghui over the past thousand years. The rise of local religious groups, the acceptance and transformation of the Jingming ritual documents by the Qing Dynasty and the Qing Dynasty preacher party in the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze River, etc., comprehensively show the traditional reconstruction of the Jingming Dao in different periods, different regions and different groups.
