The book contains all four of Xenophon's dialogues on Socrates: The Memorabilia, which describes the words, deeds, and character of Socrates, "the best and happiest man"; The Oeconomicus is a dialogue about agriculture, showing Socrates' practical aspect; The Symposium discusses love, and although Socrates rejects physical relationships, there is not a day when he does not pay attention to "love"; The Apology records Socrates' conversations and reactions before and after his death sentence.
