A Complete Collection of Stele Inscriptions in Hong Kong Temples: Historical Records with Images, 1274-2021
A Complete Collection of Stele Inscriptions in Hong Kong Temples comprehensively collects the existing Chinese temples and inscriptions in Hong Kong (Hong Kong Island, Kowloon, New Territories and Outlying Islands), dating back to the Southern Song Dynasty (1274) to the present day (2021), which not only shows the richness of Hong Kong temple inscriptions over thousands of years, but also reflects the development of local gods and religious beliefs. The whole book takes the temple as the unit, and "takes the temple with the stele", with a total of 130 temples and 455 inscriptions. In addition to the original inscriptions, this book also collects a large number of precious images such as temple appearances, steles, statues of gods, and cultural relics that have been photographed in real places, which are of great historical value and reflect the vitality of the temple culture that has been passed down to the present day in modern life.
